Suggest Brandish Bute research/seek advice from successful island entrepeneurs, etc. Arran, islay, Skye, Orkney, Shetland have been successfully marketing their goods for decades. They adapt to current market, both re taste & state of economy, GB & worldwide.Money spent linking with or visiting would be well spent. Also, local entrepeeurs such as The Castle Gallery, Picture Bute & The Tartan Shop could give advice. Move to bigger premises? Great idea but learn how to display, to price & to market first. Bute Crafts did not succeed in bigger premises despite having a wonderful proprietor & beautiful goods on display. P>S> I’ve used my Gaelic name-Ellie, daughter of Black

I wish you great success in your bid,could be best thing to happen for the island in a long time.Personally my children and I could not have wished for anything better, although sadly i have to tell you that many islanders have no idea about any of this! My self, I only found out after my children returned excited after school to tell me of the plans…….. I am 100% behind the developments my boys told me of!!

Can you tell me who owns the land at present? I have been under the mistaken impression that the entire island is owned by the Bute Estate – evidently not the case. Many thanks for your help.
